Is my set up going to work?

I'd recommend an audient iD14 interface to replace the mixer and behringer, that's the kind of thing you need, then all you need is the mic, interface and software, I think it would be a lot simpler.

low budget microphone for classical piano recording

THIS! the cm3's are good because they are wide cardiod not standard cardiod, they are great mics, I own them, I'm sure the om1's would be just as good quality.

    Anyone here building acoustic guitars?

make sure it's flattened as well, stanley are really really poor quality thesedays, get an old one instead, and restore it, I recently picked up a 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 for not much money at all on ebay, it's all you need to start with.

    CD data

in Wavelab there is the metadata and also CD text, the text is designed for CD players ONLY for it to read that text on playback, the metadata is actually embedded in the file itself, that's what I meant.

    weird buzz/ground loop noise?

no change when I touch the bridge or strings or take it away, it might actually be the input jack? gonna take a last look before sending it to someone

Does the order of effects impact the sound?

yes it massively affects the sound, you only have to play with a boost + fuzz pedal and change the order to hear it. I expriement with the order or EQ and compression a lot, sometimes the right order makes all the difference, but remember there no rules, if you want to daisy chain 15 fuzz pedals...

    Would this work?

    weird buzz/ground loop noise?

already done all of that RFR, it cost a fortune and took ages, and it removed all the hum, was completely silent even on extreme overdrive settings, I removed at least 90% of the noise, but then it went back to humming again recently, had a look inside and there's nothing obvious at all...

Do you loop verse and chorus parts in your songs?

in short ...yes, it's even in classical music, they use comps of the best takes and copy and paste, don't be afraid of doing it.

    Talk with Silence

nice! I like the glock sound a lot, it reminded me a little bit of mike oldfield, nice to hear some minimalism. If I could change anything I'd make the glock a tiny bit less bright at around 12-14kHz, apart from that the mix is very good.

    Compressors and vocals question

I always record vocals with compression on the way in, it helps to stop annoying peaks, since getting my elysia xpressor 500 there's no turning back, but I have it on very subtle and invisible settings, it's making the sound even without you noticing that it's there, that's what you should be...

    Would this work?

this isn't going to soundproof anything, you are better off with a reflection filter for this kind of thing, this is acoustic treatment NOT soundproofing, to soundproof a room costs serious money building stud walls and layer upon layer of different materials, as you can imagine it costs a lot...
