    Software to do mastering with?

Samplitude or Saw Studio for bewt mix engine. But the software you use for mastering is the least significant thing. Its your ability speakers/room, effects processing that play the most important role.

are eq plugins dif from one another

Does Sequoia use the same mix engine as Samplitude? I find Saw to be superior in sound than Samplitude.

are eq plugins dif from one another

Yes. I will never mix through protools again. Saw really is amzing. You have to see it and hear it to believe it. Its set up like a huge console with high quality effects on each channel. Eq Compressor Gate, they are of very high quality and very cpu efficient. But the best thing is how...

I agree with ya there SSG. You should give Saw Studio a run around the block. To me its hands down champion. One thing i love about saw, when you pan an instrument, you can clearly hear it with pin point accuracy at the panned location specified. It use integer math for its summing not...

    No ADC sucks majorly.

But it goes without saying the platform does not induce the latency its the processing of the plug. The fact that PT le does not have ADC makes us aware of it.

Yeah its a PT le thing.

--I don't have monitors, I do have a Sony stereo tho--

Hi man. I for one find myself always putting things off until i get better gear, but better gear doesn't make me a better engineer. Just start mixing with what ya got. Set the eq as flat as possible. Most home consumer systems are untrue in the bottom end. If you really need to go ahead...

are eq plugins dif from one another

Actually i meant to say the high end plugs tend to induce latency.

    Well said SSG

You can use the lin eq for mixing, but the problem with high end plugins is that they are very heavy on the cpu. Most induce latency also. Look at Sonalksis 517 Also voxengo

Its hard to hear the quality difference of plugins without good speakers.
