No, I don't need to zoom and line it at all. I doing exactly what Steenamaroo is talking about. I watched the video and I agree that seems like he's doing a lot more work than he needs to (imo).

I do music for a living, have been for a little over 6 years. Sound design is great (imo). I've done some work with a lot big companies and produced background music for a lot of different TV stations. It can be a little frustrating at times, but stick with it.

I'm not sure what your budget is, but I see a lot of people raving about reaper it's around $60.00. There is another called Ntrack that's about $50.00.
I don't think you'll run into any issues. I'm always transferring files from my 32 system to my 64bit. I'm not saying there can't be an issue, but I've never run into one.
I haven't used Acid in many years, but if memory serves me correct, the .acd is just an extension (acid's project file extension). You still need the audio files. If Armistice and I are right in our assumption, then I would advise transferring those files through Drobox as wav files can become...
