Simplest way to fade out a song?

Depending on the song and the element you could fade the Master chain Busses or individual tracks If I'm doing individual tracks I prefer doing them manually (fingers on faders)

The MPD218 is fun fun fun

I might have to check this pad controller out. I use to have an MPD16 back in the day. Made one beat with it and then sold it on Ebay. Nice tracks by the way!

a website vs a YouTube channel

The main differences: YouTube: You have no control over the platform and I don't believe there is a way to accept payments through it as of yet. Website: You're in control of everything: Functionality, email list, payment processor, design, etc. If you want to showcase your music, I think both...

    Production music?

There's many ways to break in. The way I started was with Taxi and pumpaudio which helped land a few placements with UPN in 2003. Then there was a huge gap.. no placements for close to a year. So I signed up with other music pitching services and libraries which led to other placements and...

Submitting music to film, adverts, competitions etc

There are a lot of sites that offer this, the best thing to do is use google's search engine. I don't like competitions, nor do I like any site that requires you pay anything up front. Copyrighting - Always Protect Your Music ALWAYS

I wont discredit your professor, but the chances of someone ripping you off increases when you submit your other 'professionals' I'm not sure what line of work you're in (music wise), but I do music licensing/sound design for a living. I'm always submitting music to libraries, music...

Copyrighting - Always Protect Your Music ALWAYS

Great break down. Thought I edited trademark out of that (guess I didn't). I learned about copyright the hard way. I thought my computers "time stamp" and the mailing date stamp would save me. Very very painful lesson there (back in 02) My point in this vid was to register your copyright before...
