Hi. I've been using Cakewalk/SONAR for 20 years this year, but am in the process of learning Studio One 4 Pro properly.
I also use MixBus 4 at times, as well as Wavelab 8 Elements and (just got) Cubase 9.5 Elements.
I also have REAPER and PT 1st installed, but haven't gotten along with them so...
Hi. I'm using a pair of Mackie MR5 mkII, and are somewhat pleased with them. I'm gonna upgrade at some point, but not until I've treated the room some more. It's a small room, and I really want closed cabinet monitors, perhaps even with concentric elements/tweeter. But that's above my budget for...
Hi. For me, in my room, I really like my Heil PR40 (SM7/EV RE style broadcast mic) into a my LA610 for shouting/"singing" rock/metal
All the best.
Hi. New to this place. I've got a bedroom I use as a studio when our youngest son isn't home on vacation.
Front, back/side, and oposite side.
All the best.
Hi. I've been using Cakewalk products for 20 years, but am in the process of changing over to Studio One 4.
I also have MixBus 4 but use it quite seldom.
All the best.
Hi. I just wondered if you have the latest drivers for your id14? They released some new drivers this summer, IIRC, and they seem to be good from what I have read.
Regarding X3. I assume you are using ASIO drivers? Have you tried to uncheck 64-bit double precision Engine in Preferences (P)...
Hi. I also wonder about input 5&6. Any reason they are turned all the way up?
If there's an active loopback in you Clarett mixer, that could cause it to amplify/exaggerate a low/non-existing signal in 5&6 (possibly).
All the best.
Hi. If I were you, I would demo both to see which one you like the best.
Today, most DAW's can do what is needed to make professional music.
It's down to workflow/preference, and at times collaborations (though that can be dealt with using wave files instead of project files).
I use...
Hi, vramos11. If the Korg does what you need it to do, you're good :)
Use what feels right. Too many options can be overwhelming.
I use a pc, an Audio Interface (RME Uxc) and more than one DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), because I'm used to it.
All the best.
Hi. I'm Ken Nilsen from Fredrikstad, Norway. I just found this place, thanks to Jyemz/James Griffiths
I "sing" in BJZ, as welll as write music, play guitar, some keys, bass, and drums. I also try to mix some of it.
I've been doing home recording since about '98.
Also been fortunate to...
