I'm afraid I'm not proficient in Cubase, but that's what most of the big box recording software packages do. Can you look at the time stamps on the files and see if they are sequential? Does Cubase have a clean up of old files option?
If you Google "midi drum samples" you will get hundreds of links to look through.
Some samples are free, some cost money. The best ones are the ones you make yourself, or get in an exchange with a friend.
I have bought many samples over the years, but find it more to my purpose to make my...
Here is another one of those posts where everybody has their own favorite.
Well although I have always been a Cakewalk\Sonar fan, from ProAudio to Sonar 8.5, I still use a program that is now officially "out of print", but still available at some outlets and online.
Project 5 v2, is by far the...
I have a feeling that this is one those topics that will get a different perception of a good synth and controller for every different poster.
I use and love my M-Audio Keystation 61ES and I accompanied it with a M-Audio 49E for my chords. I control a Roland SH-201 synth through either keyboard...
I have at least a couple of apps that get really stupid when trying to get them installed, because they want .net for registration purposes. I think my Sony software does this, and I think my old Behringer software required it too.
I remember getting around some install issues by bypassing the...
You can download a copy of the "MSVCR80.dll" from several sources on the web. It is lost sometimes when you upgrade to SP3, without going through the SP2 upgrade first.
It is a relatively easy fix, and you should be back to installing your software in a just a few minutes.
I always thought that I could set up my equipment and software and be done with all the heavy expenditures. But as my pocket book will confirm, that is not how it works. If you don't succumb to gear lust fever, then you find yourself trying to make unsupported software and gear work with the...
I don't think I'm going to make the leap this time. I use 8.5 PE and it does all that I need. I actually use "Project 5", more than any other software.
Correct ................ use have to use MME, but you won't like the results. Make sure you set your buffers real high, or all you are going to get is static.
The latency is going to the biggest killer.
Make absolutely sure you are running the program and the installation as "administrator".
The program will not install if you do not give it the proper permissions.
You may have your audio card set to "record what you hear", instead of have it set for the output of your track.
Have you tried disabling input monitoring?
I would be inclined to look at the plug-in or effect you are trying to use. It may not be configured properly, or it might just be a poorly written VST.
What exactly are you doing when this happens? What are your specifications? What audio equipment are you connected to, and with what drivers...
I agree with not having anti virus software on a DAW, I keep mine off line entirely, except when I first was setting it up, and then only to register some of my software.
I keep an external fan blowing on my laptop whenever it is running and it keeps the temps down. My desktop has a variable...
I have had several computers that out lasted the operating systems, and software they needed to run. I have upgraded my main recording software many times over the last decade or two, and have had to change my hardware to keep up.
At the present I am using a Dell desktop (one year old) running...
I find that the "Focusrite Saffire USB 6" to be a solid piece of equipment with really good working components. It's been rock solid and it's priced right in your range.
