Id like to second every word here ... I, too, own(ed) several all tube amps - and received the ad120 as trade in w/ plenty of money on top for a 73 fender bassman ... and I must say I am VERY POSITIVELY surprised about the sound quality of this beast ... not mentioning that it might as well be...

wrong! you need to set your guitar up specifically for dropC ... (asuming you use your same old strings) there will be FAR less pull on the neck (having 6 strings detuned), so the relief will be different, also the strings will oscilate more, hitting frets left and right ... its a matter of...

make sure you put your action really high ... those loose "rubber" strings buzz like crazy ... not my cup of tea!
