    Sonar record, audition mix?

If you are able to save the recordings in a format that Audition can open, then there will be no problem. Any reasonable wave format, for instance. I've heard of people working that way (Sonar to track, Audition to edit/mix) routinely so there should be no major problem.

    Noise Removal - Stereo Mic'ing

Noise reduction is intended for steady noises like computer drive and fan noise, air conditioning, distant and constant traffic rumble - that kind of thing. Sounds of dogs barking next door are not candidates for removal! Generally, don't push your luck too far with the settings - aim for 10...

    Microsoft Service Pack 2

Zero problems here too, with AA1.5 anyway.

    Hiss removal not working

Generally the longer the section you sample the better (and up to a point, the more samples you request in the relevant drop-down box - experiment as necessary). If the noise is confined to a particular frequency range, then you may find you get best results by dragging the frequency line to...

Save space on your computer and get better playback!

At risk of resurrecting a tired thread, but trying to be constructive, it might be worth mentioning that if you do want to save storage space, you can use lossless compression and you'll not be throwing anything away. For about a year now I've used wavpack in conjunction with AA1.5 for...

    Multiband compressor plugin for AA?

There's freeware vst multiband compressors out there... http://www.ismusic.ne.jp/slim_slow_slider/vst/ for instance.

Cues in Multitrack and/or Edit Mode

Cues in multitrack view appear in edit view when you mix down (edit > Mixdown) and you can then do the merge/batch routine to create individual files for burning. The batch bit doesn't work in MT view as you have found out - the button should not appear there (but it does....)

    Monitoring multiple channel input levels

... and if you right click on the meter you should see an option to meter all channels. All monitoring and metering indeed comes from the soundcard.

    Hiss removal not working

Also, ensure that you are working with at least a 16 bit file. You can't use NR to reduce the noise inherent in an 8 bit file. It might sound like it has on preview but when you process it and replay in 8 bits, the hiss is back.

Applying Stereo Reverb in AA 1.5

Assuming you are using the multitrack view, to add stereo reverb, try the "Full reverb" reverb, but ensure that BOTH the "combine source left and right" and the "include direct" tickboxes are NOT ticked. Reduce the "early reflections" slider to zero. Or try the 'Studio Reverb' - Vocal Reverb...

    Yamaha MD8 thread

http://www.ronniescotts.co.uk/ronnie_scotts/ronniescotts/123/123_19.htm carries an enthusiastic review of Michael Garrick's Big Band CD "Down On Your Knees" (half way down the page). It was recorded on.... an MD8, front-ended with a Mackie mixer to allow for an extra six phantom powered mics...

    adobe vst??

Nope. That's why they're listed as unsupported. You could try something like "Chainer" however which is a vst which hosts other vst's.

    "Scrubbing"

There's never been a scrubbing function in Cool Edit or Audition. I do recall that there was a mention of scrubbing somewhere in the manual which confused some users, but it was in another context. Personally I've never felt the need for it, but I realise others differ. You could try this...

Adobe Audition 1.5 Question (Since it used to be cool edit)

Mix the tracks down to another track, mute the originals and bypass their effects to reduce CPU load, then draw the volume envelope on the new single track.

    Brain Wave Synchronizer

The name was changed in Audition - Binaural Autopanner is it. Probably Adobe felt legally uncomfortable messing with people's brains.

    Please Help!!!

If Cool Edit opens the file to do this, it's performing a decode-recode cycle and thereby degrading the mp3 sound quality. If possible, use another program which handles mp3s without decoding them. Next question - what program? I'd suggest some Googling for "mp3 split" or suchlike.

How to set up an ASIO on cool edit pro 2.0..i bought the delta 44

No version of Cool Edit or Audition uses ASIO, I'm afraid. But I recall people using the Delta 44 successfully (search here and on the Adobe forums for that card, maybe) so you don't necessarily need ASIO support.
