I've started playing gigs again but want a fuller sound using backing track or mabey if there is some decent accompaniment program on the market, I don't want to go down the road of getting a band together, not for the time being anyway

I have an 19" comprosser, DI Box and Fx processor. I'm about to buy a rack to house them in and came across 1U,2U,3U.... Dose this stand for how many units the rack house?
Its definately not clipping, I would agree its a shitty soundcard.
I heard for best results when lowering the latency, it should only be brought back to the point of where its starts to crackle and then bring it up until there are no crackles

I'm using Addictive Drums in Cubase and an M-Audio controller running on Vista, the latency when I hit a key or play a beat is ok but could be smoother and I get alot of crackles and pops
I'm guessing its the stock card in the laptop thats causing the problem, I'm looking for an interface...

I need to improve the latency on my laptop, I dont record into the laptop I use a stand alone and send the track to Cubase for mixing and editing and using Vst's

at present a local chruch choir of 10 singers (2 rows of 5) are being mic'd indivudally and all the mic stands look very clumsy and take up a lot of room
