    .12s for Rock n' Roll?

+1 I have 12's on my guitar. It was'nt out of choice, I was having a problem keeping my guitar in tune. I replaced the stock machine heads the Grovers but the B still wouldnt stay in tune for long. I tried 10's, 11's and 12's and the 12's did the job. I started using the 12's about last...

Avoiding frequency overlap = perfect mix?

If you have everything set up and recorded the same way using a preset Eq on each track will just give you the same result. You need to treat each song\track differently and eq them accordingly

    Hey Greg_L

Hey man I did'nt mean any offence. I just thought Phil might not have heard the original since he thought your cover sounded like Parisienne Walkways. I'm mixing a few songs that I recorded with some friends. Whats the point in that question?

one of the most important questions in music. no jokes

The book teaches you to turn off your brain as NYMorningstar put it to "empty the vessel". Its not an automatic thing its like everthing else, it take lots of pratice and understanding. If you think of the classical pianist and just before they start playing they take a deep breath and place...

    Composing & chord progressions

That was George Martin he added most of the Beatles orchestra pieces Paul did a few, from what I've read Lennon did none. He was a Rocker not a composer. Spector did all the overdubs on Let it be. Lennon found the bridge to be the easiest part of a song to write

Anyone got an opinion or own a T.BONE mic
