Sorry, but the One only has ONE input. You need at least a two-channel interface to do vocals and guitar simultaneously. This is a hardware limitation, not the software.

You need to learn mic placement techniques and gain staging techniques in your daw. There are tutorials online and Youtube. Go.

And pay attention to the settings in the render box.

Try another audio app just to see if it's Cubase's fault. You can download and use Reaper in demo mode (which only puts on a few seconds of nag screen at startup, otherwise its fully functional)

Lots of people have complained about the weird clip mount for the MD-421. Don't know why it took me this long to think to try it, but the solution is a cheap $15 On-Stage Stands universal vocal condenser mount. The squeeze clip holds it just fine, even upside down and doesn't mar the mic.
