What strings do you use? Flatwounds with give a duller tone and tapewound would give an even duller tone and less sustain, with a lot less (if any) finger noise. I have 2 P Bass's. One with normal strings and the other has tapewound on it. Both have the same pickups and sound completely...

Maybe a good start would be to tell us what you want to do and how? "I want to make CD's for our fans" is not a great start, information wise. What equipment do you have already that might be of use? Do you have a computer acceptable for recording? How many inputs are you wanting to record...

Can you not lower the buffer to say, 64 Samples, and lower the latency. 30ms is shocking! I don't use the same equipment but I have mine set to 64 Samples for tracking. I bump it up to 1024 for mixing.

I try and use as little EQ as possible. When I do, it's usually to cut some lows from tracks. :thumbs up:

What Greg said. Just write the song. Don't concern yourself with what others think. If you enjoy the song, that's more than enough. Others can either like it or lump it. It won't harm you any. :thumbs up:
