A mic won't work without a mic jack on your laptop. A mic plugged into a headphone jack will just act like another speaker and output sound, quietly.

Maybe google removing vocals from tracks and find other methods? A quick google shows different tools to use to achieve the goal. Trial, error and find the best way for you. I doubt anyone around here does it.
