    Please review this country/jazz? song

i quite liked it and i dont think it matters what genre if any it fits into. maybe its a new genre that you have just invented, one of the wonderful things about songwriting is that there aren't really any rules, we have total freedom to express. back to the song, the bit where you take it...

    "No More" comments

yeah i agree with most of what garry said, i liked the electric guitar, the track could really do with some decent drums though, the bit where you say "holding hands" could do with some drums crashing in, you need some rolls in there and to alternate the beat a bit. mind you having said that you...

I believe I just wrote the song to win over that woman

really liked it. it reminded me of a band called "the frames", similar sort of laid back gentle feel. but because the music is gentle i think the lyrics will be very important as they would really stand out on a track like that. other than that, probably the best stuff ive heard on here in ages...

These Borrowed Bones, I'll Make Them My Own

really nice lyrics, they stand alone very well. it would be good to hear them set to the music though, and if the music is half as good then your future is bright.

    breath noise

i usually raise the mic stand slightly so i can angle the mic downwards towards the guitar and away from my breath. but you still have to learn to control your breath aswell.

    can this be done?

it sounds like what you need to do is drag your marker from the start to the end of the song so that it is all highlighted. then click file, then export, then select audio mixdown. everything within the highlighted area will be saved off as a wav to your desired location.

Lyric Writing - The Caboose That Couldn't

you sound like you write a bit like me jeff. i tend to do the music and lyrics at the same time, sometimes the lyrics of a song will come out making no sense but i will like the melody of it all, the big question being how do you then adapt new lyrics to the melody? well why not keep the lines...

    Close Miking Vocals

you can buy quiet psu's for your pc, and graphic cards without fans etc but you will still get noise if you use a condensor. could you not just get really long cables and put your mic in a different room? if your going to put a gate on vocals then dont do it on the way in but afterwards if you...
