There is a program that is free from digidesign called "Xpand" Its got the pianos and strings etc etc. I believe you can download it or have them mail you a copy. So first do that. Then you can stick Xpand on an "AUX stereo" track and choose a sound. Then make a midi track and set its output...

Amplitube 2 is excellent. As is the Chrome Tone from Mcdsp. The one i use the most is called Amp Farm, but i dont believe that it's available in a Pro tools LE format. Too bad too because it really is the best one out there. YMMV

the waves Vintager series is nice. As is the Mcdsp Emerald Pack give those a demo.

Drums, then bass, and guitars (pianos, keys, screaming yaks etc etc) then vox. Without a badass drumsound you cant have a badass mix. Sounds a little knuckledhead-ish, but its the absolute truth.

Thats what i did to deal with them. Set the low band (20hz-120hz) to kill mode. No more plosives.

Just demo the waves restoration bundle and use the x noise plug, works great.

Ahh thats better..... Kick drum! On my mix i had a gog that i mixed in with the original kick. And then from there i printed a 52hz sine wave and triggered that with a gate to fatten stuff up. The majority of what you hear is the original kick with that sine wave. The gog was aggressively high...

I use an mxl V69. Then gate, compress, equalise, and effect the performance accordingly.
