You arent setting your gate correctly then. Try using the key filters of th gate.

The waves ones dont have lk ahead that i can recall. The look ahead gate in pro tools, and in digital performer have always served me well. The ones in waves worked fine too, but i could see how the attack loss could be an issue without that nifty look ahead feature.

I have the ad 16x. It has the big ben built into it. The most noticeable thing when you first get converters is the imaging. There is no way i could have gotten that depth of stereo with just my 002 alone. Not that you cant get fine mixes with a 002, you can. Big they just dont sound as huge...
