I have a UCA202. When I turn up the volume of my amplifier, it goes BEEP BEEP BEEP. No real problem with casual music listening, but unbearable when mixing because I have to turn up my amp. (levels around -20dB) Never looked for a solution, just got a better interface. It was driving me crazy.

That seems like a very clinical way to treat your music.

It kind of does. Lots of good music gets mastered so loud it counteracts the enjoyment of listening to it, for me.

I don't hear much reverb. I think the violin sounds pretty good. But I am nowhere near an expert :)

I thought the purple knobs all the way to the right are the low pass filter (high cut).

I use the Kjaerhus Audio GEQ-7 parametric equalizer and its low pass filter only goes down to 1kHz. Can someone recommend me another VST EQ plug-in where I can set the LPF as low as I like?

Isn't this why modern ADCs use oversampling?

How long does it take before the extra string tension bends the neck? Does this happen immediately or after a while?

I already brought the guitar to a local guitar shop. I was getting nervous about ruing it. :p

The owner is fine with it, he even told me to file out the nut if the strings wouldn't fit. :)

What do you use to file the nut's grooves? I don't think I have a file fine enough, except for a nail file. :p

That's why I thought of buying a 5-string set and only using the 4 lowest strings. :) I'm not sure which gauge to get. Is it likely the grooves are too narrow when I place a B string in an E groove? I'll have to check with my friend if he is okay with me filing the nut.
