I received the Jettenuator this weekend. The big knob has a scratchy feel and sound, like metal scraping on metal. I guess this could be normal, because it seems like a very large high power pot.
Is there someone here with a Jettenuator or another power soak to confirm whether it's normal? :)
I just installed my 1U audio interface into a 19" rack and it was a bit of a hassle. After sliding the unit into the rack, I couldn't reach the cage nuts. So I placed the rack on it's side in order to slide the cage nuts into the right position, without them constantly falling down.
How do the...
I've made the summing device today and it works nice to mix effects. The volume drop is no problem. The only effect I've tried that gets really soft is the Big Muff, but only when used before the circuit. Boss distortion effects work well.
I want to sum two output signals into two inputs and have one output, outputting the summed signals.
So my Ultimate Lead Paint Passive Summing Device will have two input jacks, getting signals from two stompboxes, and one output, to feed another stompbox or a guitar amplifier.
If you can...
I've used one of those small Behringer interfaces, but not the red one. It gave me some really annoying beeps when I turned up the volume of my amplifier. I often had to turn up the volume, because I record at about -18dB. Had no problem with it with casual music listening though. I hope your...
I'm looking for an easy solution to sum two signals from guitar effects into one output.
It would be great if this can be done passively. I don't need switches, send/returns or pots for blending or mixing, just two inputs and one output. I'll set levels with the effects' level control. I have...
I've been using Replaygain for years. Seems like this iTunes function is very similar.
With Replaygain, audio files are scanned for their average loudness levels and the difference with a predetermined level is saved as a metatag. The louder an album or song, the higher the Replaygain value...
I don't know how much I'm ready to spend yet, but I don't mind paying a bit extra for better quality. I was just looking around and saw the active version costs only €23 more per piece for the RP6 RoKit G2 and €43 for the RP6 RoKit G3.
I don't know whether high power is a necessary for my...
Seems like the Youtube link is not working, it has dots in the url.
Just some thoughts, I'm no expert:
Having one instrument hard left and the other 80% right, isn't that much too wide? Perhaps try something like 60% left and 40% right?
Splitting the signal into low for centering and the rest...
I have been using ancient Hitachi speakers for quite a while and I would like to replace them with some more serious studio monitors.
My dad gave me his old amplifier, an NAD 3225PE, which I believe is quite alright. That's why I thought of getting passive monitors. I was looking at Thomann.de...
Instead of making the bolt shorter, I placed some rings on it and the saddle is now all the way outward and it still needs to go a bit further back!! I guess I'll have to make a trip to my guitar shop and ask them what can be don. I hope it's possible to install a smaller saddle...
I removed the spring and now I'm a bit closer to good intonation. Next problem, the bolt going through the saddle is a bit too long. I need it to be just 3mm shorter...
My guitar teacher had a good suggestion. Perhaps if I remove the spring on the screw the saddle can move a bit further, hopefully enough to get the intonation right. I'll give this a try soon.
The height at the nut seems correct. When I bought the guitar I let the shop replace the pick guard, place the heavy strings and file down the nut.
I guess I'll take the guitar back to the shop and ask over there what they can do about getting the intonation correct. I hope they know a...
Yes to both. The two lowest strings are now not in tune on higher positions. I guess before I intonated my guitar, they were equally not-good-intonated.
Is this in case of single coils? The guitar has humbuckers. I have the big strings for a year and a half now without any problems, until I...
