Hey guys, I'm looking at a new compaq with a 1.72 AMD Turion 64, Gig of ram, 60 gig 4200rpg hard drive (I'v got a 160 gig external as well), cd/rw-dvd, firewire, and widescreen. I'm running a Firepod with Cubase. Should this be enough power to allow me to record effectively? Thanks guys! Ryan

Yes, when I try and turn on more that 4 inputs it says Cubase LE is limited to only 4. Any thoughts? I'm thinking they just changed the software.

Thanks for the help guys, I started going by the meter on the computer instead of the unit and its sounding great. I didn't realize that the meter on the unit would move so little. This is my first real preamp so I suppose I wasn't quite up to terms on how to use it. Thanks again! Ryan.

Unfortunately I am using brand new cabling as well. Could it be something operational that I am doing? It seems to me that the VU meter should at least register to 0 but this is my first preamp so maybe I'm confused in its operation. Any other suggestions? Ryan.

I just got my Tampa in the mail today and I was wondering if there was a difference in the sound between the balanced XLR out and the SPDIF out. I was planning on running SPDIF into my Firepod. Thanks! Ryan.

Consistent quality, or type of material recorded?

I'm really digging it! It sounds great, the only thing I don't really like is the hard panning (not sound quality or composition), but thats more of a personal taste type of thing. Keep up the good work! Ryan.
