As far as the triton and motif soundfonts go, I'm happy with mine and I can do a lot with them...I just don't rely on them (or anything else) fully. I will agree that most refills aren't worth it...even the ones you have to pay for. However, if you can learn how to tweak a sound into making it...

I agree with DE that the lyrics mixed in are overpowering. The bass is kind of muddy too so it messes it up a little bit. Too short to say anything about change ups or what not. Have to peep it some more.

Most software is sick these days...FL included...anything that lets you have an endless arsenal of sounds is good. Word of advice...never rely on the stock sounds alone...they usually aren't that great for a reason...they want you to go out and buy more of them. But if you know how to shop...

Love it....I use Reason 3 on one PC and then 4 on another...I've been into it since about 04. For some reason (no pun intended), it's easier for me to sequence drums the way I want them on Reason 3 and then finish the rest of the beat on Reason 4. Just don't install both on the same PC...I did...

I agree...put the demo on the kid's PC and let him toy around with it and find out some stuff just from googling. From what I hear FLs learning curve is much simpler than Reason's curve. You know that part of making music is experimentation. Fiev.
