reply to Langleyt Hi Langleyt, Yesssss, I've noticed how people are sometimes very hard in their comments. I've found the best response is kindness, in spite of what they may say; it comes from the bible: "a kind word turns away wrath". When we are kind, it is interesting to watch their...

    The wonderful "ROOM" sound

Hi DeanTall Hat, How are you using your equipment? How are you micing ? I would suspect it is in this area first. If your micing a guitar, you certianly don't want to mic the hole directly in front - that is definately boom to the max. Get off axis with the mics. Record to your source flat...

    mix down to heaven

I'm with the CD burners too. I used cassette for years when I started, and it just drove me nuts. The cassette equipment just would not work with me. When I went to a CD burner, I was amazed at the quality of difference. Try to fork up the bucks, you won't be sorry. Chuck :)

    The wonderful "ROOM" sound

Where do you find A&R people that give you honest service ??? "TAXI" is a very respected A&R group. Many independents have made it with them. They also evaluate your music for a small fee. Expect to get your feelings hurt a few times. If you want to sell your soul to the music industry, do it...

Hi Royston, I'll tell you what.....If you have some great songs, money is no object. You just need to get them to the ears of the right people, even if you record them on a Sony Walkman cassette. A good song dosn't need a quality recording to convince the A&R people. they can spot a gem...
