    Beginners guitar and bass

    There is a small sticker on the back of the headstock on the Yamaha bass that I mentioned earlier. It is "RBX260", other than that there are no other labels indicating a model or name except for the Yamaha logo on the headstock.

    Yamaha makes a decent, entry level bass for around $150. Not bad if you are just going to dabble. I was surprised as to how nice this bass was for the price. Most any other new guitar or bass that I've ever seen for $150 was a total piece of shit.

    Potentiometer questions

    Are volume pots and tone pots the same part? I have been looking at a few sites and none of them list pots as "Volume" or "Tone". I may be needing to purchase some for a guitar I'am thinking of building. What would I need for tone pots. I'am planning on using a pair of Tony Iommi signature...
