Is this song great or crap? Let me know!

OK...was the amps lead channel used then? The pickups really are not an issue...effects ":) Get him hooked up with a big muff. "The drummer on this song is not the actual drumer, he is the rhythm guitarist, and he can't drum too good. I have a hard time getting the drums to have that in your...

How do I post a song?

Don't see why it would be a problem ":) Some gripe about pop-ups and other random things there...but you get 10mb of space for free. If you want you can check the "nowhere" link in my sig ( if just to sign up there ). They give you 15MB...and better random stats blah blah blah.

Is this song great or crap? Let me know!

Song is fine enough, and not to be harsh the recording quality somehow seems like a bright open air tape deck. If that was the medium then the quality is good...if there were four or more mics in the room, hummm. Guitar...why do I have the feeling it was done through some crap solid state...

    looking for feedback, please...

"What about the multitudes of great artists that do instrumental songs? Jazz artists like Branford Marsalis, Chick Corea and David Benoit - just to name a couple." What about them...what relation do they have to do with this? Anyhow... ...lol sorry edit...wrong topic ":P

"I would love to get some of you in the room with me for a jam session. I would do it on any instrument; and at any time if it was possible ... (yes, I play all the instruments in these recordings). I have a large amount of material, so don't judge me off of one or two songs. Try opening your...

give my new song a listen,

Back to back posts from me ":P...anyhow. Put a random bass line on your song ( line is random and yours if you like parts of it ), also killed a bit of the buzz, and gave it a bit of stereo life ( not RCA stereo Elvis record life < if you know you know if not you dont > ). Got the song in MP3...

give my new song a listen,

Not bad at all ( no puke )...you have an idea for sure. Your being a bit hard on yourself with vocals, just sing with some records you dig even just hum with them to get a better feel of your range...and to get what's in your range stable. Plus...try tracking your vocals through some of your...

i need your opinion on this one

"ender4trackmind: by all means, I didn't mean to put limits on anyone's creative thinking and writing. But the fact remains that if you want commercial succes, you need those limits, because the record companies simply will not give you a deal if you aprouch them with stuff that is alot more...

    weird dancesong

"Not sure I would really consider this a dance track. It's a little slow for dance, IMO. Well done though. I could see this in a video game or movie." Yup I feel about the same. Just the only things I would say to flesh out the track, would be things I would do with it. To bridge the gap...

i need your opinion on this one

"What makes you think it has acoustic drums? It has not. Those are ordinary AKAI samples (I chose the rock kits). I chose the rock kit, because it sounded much better than any other kit." Just take the fact someone felt electronic drum samples were real acoustic drums as a complement ":) Then...

Make a new recording sound old?

Your going for an effect...so why not use an effect. If you have some unit that has a radio / or battery amp sim in it...try that out. Other then that you could use a harp mic, perhaps even run it through an amp and mic that. Record to a low-fi deck ( something without noise reduction ) and...

recording really LOUD guitars on the 688

"does that mean pull the mics back from the cabinets? bleed is not a real issue." In part yeah pull the mics back slightly ":) given the factor your in a basement you should be able to pick up all sorts of crazy stuff bouncing off the walls ( would at least have a bit of reflection/echo), plus...

recording really LOUD guitars on the 688

"yes they should turn down. but will they? I don't know. What else can I do? so far guitars are sounding thin for that much volume. the plan is doing crazy over the top basic tracks in their basement and dump those onto the computer and work from there. thanks tascammers." They will if you say...

"TGOFM- so could i mic a certain room or space and just record air? I'm sure this is in the manual, but...

Bit of random... Something else you can do when mixing down, is track another part while your mixing down. The reason your doing the bounce in the first place is to open some tracks, so why not get an extra part completely for free. As for pan...yup that's up to you where it fits best. Just...
