Can't reply to a private message

Hi! I'm trying to reply to a private message, and it looks like my messages just disappear. After sending my message, I can't find it anywhere. My Sent Items folder looks empty: "Sent Items contains 0 messages." Is there anything wrong with my doing, or a system? Thank you for your help.

    two different mikes for overheads?

"Fun" -- right ... I think I have one of those. )) As for learning characteristics of different mics, right now I only can tell that it will take some time. Thanks, grimtraveller! How would you make it that "they are NOT outta phase with each other"?

    two different mikes for overheads?

I guess "very crisp audio" is a temptation. "cymbal mics" -- that's a thought! I should try that. I appreciate your tips, guys!

    two different mikes for overheads?

I think I understand now. I'm too shy to post whatever I recorded -- I'm not a drummer. I'll wait for our drummer to play something to record it. Thanks for your help, jimmys69!

    two different mikes for overheads?

Thanks, jimmys69 for your reply! Could you please elaborate on the last one: "IMO... "? I tried to record with those two mics. My ears are not so good. I can tell that they sound different (also due to the fact that they are 2.5 feet apart). Two mics create stereo spread for sure. But I can't...

    two different mikes for overheads?

Hi everybody! Did anybody use two different mics for overheads? For those I have Audio-Technica AT2035 and Oktava MC 012. There is also one SM57 on a snare, and Shure Beta 52A on a kick. I plan positioning the overheads two feet above cymbals on either side and from the back of the drummer...

Help to upgrade monitors! / Song mix.

Thank you James for your info. It sounds great. I already treated the room. Nothing too fancy, but it's a big improvement from what it was. It's interesting to learn what to do with the results of a room EQ testing?

Help to upgrade monitors! / Song mix.

Thank you, mjbphotos! I just got a pair of KRK Rokit-6. And I have to say -- the difference is huge! NOW with the dissent monitors I will learn them and improve the room.

Anybody about monitors? Or this is the wrong place to ask?

Help to upgrade monitors! / Song mix.

Thank you, Kip4! I feel the same about the low end, even though almost all instruments are EQed with cutting off the lower frequencies. I think it happens in the compression of a master track.

Help to upgrade monitors! / Song mix.

Thank you, Kip4 for your help! There is lots to learn. Would using a reference track solve the problem with poor monitors?

Help to upgrade monitors! / Song mix.

I do try to analyze some music that I listen to on my monitors. I just don't have anything specific tracks that would sound close to what I'm trying to do. Can you suggest any?

Help to upgrade monitors! / Song mix.

My room is somewhat treated. But there is a room for improvement (pun intended)). What is "referance tracks"?

Help to upgrade monitors! / Song mix.

I know it's been covered from many different angles. But here is my novice question: I currently have a pair of M-audio Studiophile SP-5B monitors in my home studio. I got them a while ago for video editing purpose. Now when I started mixing my own music, I see (or rather hear)) that they...

    muting staccato bass?

Thanks Bassbrad for your reply. So basically what you are saying is -- use your ears, and be more creative... I guess that's a best approach. Thanks again!

    muting staccato bass?

Hi all! I have a newbie question about muting strings. I'm trying to record a bass line 120 BPM, and there are some parts with staccato of eight notes, of 1/8th ? measure. The question is -- would you try to mute every note with your left hand, or just let it sound as is (assuming playing...
