well, where would you place the kick mic? i'm probably going to take the front resonator head off for recording and stick the mic just inside the drum.

i'm getting ready to record a drum kit, and i only have these 3 mics as dynamic mics for the kick mic. i'm looking for opinions on which one i should use. obviously I am going to try all 3 and see which one sounds the best, but I wanted some other opinions if i could get them. it's a 22'' bass...

you will see a difference with a faster speed. the fastest DDR2 speed is DDR2-1066, which is about half as fast again as ddr2 800. so if you want the highest speed, go for a different board that can support higher. a note on speed: it's very hard to see differences in speed and clock rates and...

the creative x-fi line has a breakout box. I have one, and it has spdif and optical ins and outs on the front, plus RCA and midi. its great. you have to have a creative x-fi card to use it though.

1.) the Q6600 will be fine. the heatsink that comes with it is made by intel, and it will be fine unless you are overclocking, which you won't need to with 4 cores. 2.)asus boards are great. for the q6600 i would recommend the Asus P5N-D. but anything with a LGA 775 socket type will fit that...

I think it's harder for musicians now to sell music in a non digital format (CD) and the days are gone where you paid 6 dollars for a single at Best Buy. A lot of people are moving towards offering their music for free online. Or for free for a short time. Or pay what you want (Radiohead et al)...

There are at least 20 videos on youtube detailing the exact settings Kanye and TPain use to get that effect. just do a search for autotune and tpayne on youtube.

+1. I used Naiants into a MicrotrackII to record my band for months until we got a proper board. They are very true to the actual sound, and very affordable.

My experience has been to just do what works best for you, organization wise. I just have a basic 2 column deal with track #s on one side and notes about those tracks on the other. Usually I list them in the order they come in on a song.
