4U Rack Case for Computer on eBay

Found this guy on eBay if anyone's looking to rack their computer or build one. Will probably go very cheap. Sitting at $9.99 right now. Looks like redundant power supplies too. Interesting front panel where both sides open rather than just one. Appears to be new...

    Insurance for you music instruments/equipment?

Make sure you have enough "contents" coverage to cover all your equipment. Also, never tell your agent you have a studio "for hire." They could consider it for commercial use and possibly not cover it under homeowners. And yes, all mine is covered under homeowners.

FT: Can you draw really well? Let's trade...

Yeah Aus. Same with this guy. He's not into the comic kind of stuff.

FT: Can you draw really well? Let's trade...

Like maybe a pencil drawing of an actual photo? I know a young guy (20's) who is very talented at that type of drawing. Don't know if he would be interested but can ask if this is what you're looking for. I can take photo's of some of his work and email. Attached is a drawing he did of my...

    Music Store Signage

What about the big movie posters you see at the theater? These are normally scarfed up by employees who would gladly sell them for $10 or less. Of course these aren't necessarily related to music but think a life-sized scar face poster, etc. Some look really cool. Ask the guy taking tickets...

Help! I need a soundcard for Windows 98!

Since you're using an old OS like Win 98SE you might as well look at something like the Aardvark 24/96. 4 combo (XLR and 1/4") inputs. Here's one on eBay now...

Relic Mixing & Mastering $199.99 per song

Now, either I get my "relic" mastering for free or the Air Supply Greatest Hits album gets it!!!

Relic Mixing & Mastering $199.99 per song

You almost had me there until I noticed you didn't mention anything about "tubes" to give my harsh, digitally recorded tunes that "warm" sound. Good try though! Obviously you're a fake and I expose you to the whole world!!!!!!! Or at least to a bunch of home recr's...

For Trade: Hear Technologies 600MV Studio Talkback System

I offered this up for sale or trade a few months ago with no bites so here goes again. For trade is a Hear Technologies Talk Back 600MV. It is new and unused. I already have a good talkback and Monitor A/B setup in my studio so I just don’t need it. This unit allows you to talkback from the...

    In Ear Monitors

Just make sure whatever make you get has a limiter circuit built in. A sudden screech with in-ears could permanently destroy an eardrum (or 2). My son's band bought the Shure PSM200 system (2 transmitters, 5 receivers with E2 earbuds) last year. Great system but his band has lost/gained...

    vocal booth ventilation

I don't have a vent in my vocal booth. Considered it but it was just too quiet to punch a hole in it. Gives the singer incentive to get it done right as soon as possible before he runs out of air :D :D One guy thought it was funny to fart in there. Sounded like Mt Saint Helen going off in...

    Offset studs?

If you're talking about a "staggered stud" wall then the studs are staggered between each wall surface. The top and and bottom plates would be 2"x6" and the studs 2"X4". The studs on the control room side would all be flush with one side of the 2"x6" plates while the studs on the tracking room...

Local reporter doing a story on my studio

Don't mean to be a buzz kill but make sure your deadbolts are working. There are scum out there (even in small towns) who might be interested in what they see pictures of in the newspaper.

    Headphones - PANASONIC RP-HC100

Also the Sony MD150. Can get at Target, etc for about $20. Comfortable and sound surprisingly good. Will also handle a lot of volume much better than most cheap cans if the need arose. DD

Yamaha 01V Digital Console on eBay

No it's not mine. Just ran up on it surfing eBay. It's $112 right now and will probably go cheap. About a day and a half time left on auction. I've bought from this guy before with no problems. He buys from government (military) surplus auctions so he won't be able to answer any technical...

    Windows 98 -- Best soundcard ?

Used an Aardvark Q10 for many years on 98SE. 8 inputs, good mic pres. Glitches now and then but very useable for the most part. You can find these pretty cheap on eBay. Just make sure you get the PCI card and cable with it. Worked well with Cakewalk Pro Audio 9. Drivers for Win98SE are...
