allright, thanks. So I can consider the dbx a compander, and go for normal use on my compressor. (or did I get the expression -season to taste- wrong, and should NOT use a external compressor... It's hard) -a.m.

So I have a question that may seem pretty silly, but i still wonder. the dbx noise red. is a 2:1 compressor - expander, right? Does this affect the way I should use my RNC 1776 on stuff when recording with dbx turned on contra off? -a.m.

This is possible, with the proper sequencer/cables and sync tone.. -SMPTE/EBU to MIDI/FSK? (Sounds like two soccer teams). 14 tracks with two differents sets of 7 with separated characteristics. Would be nice. Anyone done this? -a.m.

Thanks a lot to all the people who help me out (shedshrine, technoplayer, sweetbeats +++) 388 up and running, cleaned and adjusted. A very smooth machine, nice and easy to get a good sound on bass, casio mt65, ukulele, vocals (drums a bit harder to get down right,but i'll get it soon) great...

Hi again, so i tested this, and by holding the left roller down (towards the panel) it speeds up! Thats great, nothings broken (and the new belt i ordered from ebay can rest) So - adjustment procedure, is it complex? -a.m.
