I've done something similar in the past. I create a scratch of guitars and vocals with a click, and then track drums, then go back and retrack the scratch. In our most recent non-click session, we ran the guitar into the board, seperated me from the drummer with a baffle, and recorded scratch...

Editing and punching in have been a nightmare.

In the past, I've been pretty militant about using a click, but in our current sessions, we are working on some songs that have a lot of tempo changes, and even with a proper tempo map, the feel was sounding unnatural...so we went natural. Its better, but not perfect.

Simple question with a complex answer...do you guys always use a click? Setup tempo maps...or just go at it live?

I think the recording quality is very nice. The synth's and piano sound fine to me, if not just a bit metallic. My only gripe on this track is the kick...its too prominent in the mix. I am listening to this now in headphones, and the kick is hurting my head.

I think the individual parts are a bit disjointed in the mix, but a little tweaking of the volume, and L+R placement, and you've got a money track here. Good tune, good recording quality. I wish I had your "lack" of talent. ;)

Great tune, like it a lot. My two cents... The drums are awesome when the song gets rolling, but in the intro the kick sounds muddy to me. Later the kick is perfect. I am envious of the sound you got there for the entire kit. The guitars in the second mix sound much better, but I feel like...

Guitars are nice. Kit sounds good. Female voice is awesome. The primary vocal is sitting out a way too far in the front. The hiss is too loud. My two cents. :)

You do not need to download anything. The scrobbler is a secondary product.

I have a Q about triggers. Do you need to have some sort of drum module to use triggers? I thought I read somewhere that they could be used like microphones, and then then transients can be converted into midi data. Am I dreaming or is this possible?
