    pre-historic drum machine.. "Rythm Ace"

    Check this out.. some years ago, I found this old school drumming machine on a junkyard.. I think it's some pre-Roland analog beat machine or something. Anyone seen anything like this before? Btw, it sounds like Modest Mouse used something similar on their "Float On"-Song..

    What do you think of 1/2" 16track reel-to-reel recorders?

    I own an 1/2" 8track and I'm pretty satisfied with the sound quality of it. Now I wonder how big the difference to a 1/2" 16track is.. Are they comparable to 1/4" 8tracks, or slightly better than those/almost as good as 1/2" 8tracks? What are good 16 track recorders? How much do you pay for...
