I was wondering what a good keyboard interface would be for a beginner. Keep in mind I am NOT a keyboard player. I am a guitarist and just need it to add "synth" instruments to the mix. There is a huge range in price. I don't really know much about this subject.
Thanks Pat
I thought the reason you send all the tracks through one reverb buss was to make it sound more natural. Like they are all in the same environment. At least that's how it was explained to me.
I don't remember what model monitors I have, since I am not at home at the moment, but they are Yamahas and I think they might be 5". I do know they are small and I am amazed at the bass they put out. I will say this I am no expert so whatever it's worth Pat
Sorry to ask so many stupid questions. I'm busy during the week and usually don't get time to record until the weekends. I do think about recording a lot while I'm working however, and get on this wonderful site during my breaks. I think you answered my question though, and when I do get time to...
I find this all confusing lol. Looks like to me that it saves it where ever I open it from. Does that mean it's recording it there too? So If I want to use E\ to record on and I have files saved to F\ then I copy a project from F\ and paste to E/ then open it from there? I want to use E\ for...
Using Sonar X1. How do I change the drive I'm recording on? I'm assuming I go into preferences>File>Folder Locations. Change (Project files) from "C:\Cakewalk Projects" to E:\? Is that correct?
Drugs don't have an effect of what I knew I said or was thinking if ever I do can I see and when ever it happens I only end up not making sense in my posts lol (joking of course)
Alot of talk about using an external drive to record on, rather than C:/ I was wondering. Can you use a flash drive? seems it would be more reliable since there are no moving parts
I like the default drums that came with my Sonar X1 but I am getting bored with the 5 piece set. I was wondering what good inexpensive VST drum plug in to get to expand to more pieces
Thanks Pat
I agree. I just replaced mine with a Scarlett and there is no comparison. I listen to my old recordings compared to my new ones they sound like shit. Pre was too hot to get within 3 feet of my condenser without clipping
I use the volume automation on the Master to fade out at the end of the song. I don't know if this is the correct way to do it, but it's the best way I found so far.
