Hi - i recorded an eBook into audio but it wasn't accepted bec I didn't use room tone between edits. Can someone tell me or send a link on how to do this? If I record silence with the mic live, I think I would need it to be a different link for each time I paste it into an edit? Thank you!

OK thanks...i don't think I can explain any better. I think part of it is cramped space - close enough to the computer to control it & feeling cramped while trying to play. I'll work on it.

I've been recording direct for years in my project studio but never found it comfortable & don't play my best. Hard to pay attention to playing & recording both at the same time. I do loop recording mostly. Any tips for making the process easier? Thanks.

Yes lossless is best. I have a client who wants me to create MP3's out of some songs he recorded. Small file size - maybe it doesn't matter but I was just thinking if he loads them into an MP3 player I didn't want to take up excessive space. Maybe that's not an issue with larger capacity MP3...

Thanks for responses. Everyone's picking up on the words "CD". The question really is what is the optimum bit rate for encoding MP3's so that i am not just creating a larger file without any audible improvement?
