unless I know the drummer I usually put e604's on toms and save the md421's so they don't get beat.

The record I am tracking now I used the MD421's on toms, guitar cabs, tambourine, and vocals. I love those mics.

Owning both is a great option! right now I have 2 md421's and then this re-20. I want to add the md441 and sm7 to round out nice dynamics.

But in line for that sm7 still.

$240 for an re-20 looks like I am out of the line!

Snake doesn't need to be long looking to spend under 100 on it. 8 xlr sends. Returns would be nice but not needed. Headphones: just for tracking Headphone amp: anything you have.

Sorry I should of clarified more, I'm looking more for like pair of krk, m-audio, yamaha, tannoy, event pair around 200-500. But i am open to anything around that price range/style. Thanks though
