Thanks guise - the vocals are going through an AC30 amp head sim. I like the distortion, but I guess maybe it's a little close to the guitar and bass sound because of it. Hmmm...
Funny thing, the drums and guitars and vocals were all tracked in the same room, but have various post processing...
I think performances are fair game for critique, so long as the critique is constructive. By constructive, I mean that if you are going to tell someone they shouldn't do A, perhaps you can recommend they try B. If I record something that sounds objectively bad, I want y'all to tell me about it...
It certainly has the 90's girl-rock thing going on for it. The drums fit perfectly into that scheme.
I don't hear any mixing issues at all. Not sure why you would need to re-track much of anything except vocals, but am curious to see where it goes.
Nice work.
I like this song. The lead acoustic guitar might be a little hot occasionally.
I think I like the tom figures at the beginning more than the kick/snare stuff that behind the verses. Really super fantastic flourishes at the very end. Gnarly lyrics, phil. Bravo.

Rock Ballad Backing Track in E Minor
Strings are too loud. Some dynamic swells using these would go a long way towards making the song more interesting. The breakdown at 1:39 doesn't really work with fake drums, because they have no dynamic tension at all. It's a good...
The 12 sounds fantastic. I think your delivery of the word "world" is too abrupt - I think it is a stylistic difference, and that's just my personal preference.
Man, I like this plenty. In the choruses after the word "bottom" At 1:40 it clearly needs a grizzled old man with a Czech accent saying "you like a the juice?
Also, maybe a breakdown, just bass and vocal? The song is too short, pimp.
Bass, kick, and snare need to come up a little, especially the snare. They need to be implacable.
I like the vocals, mang. If you aren't going to keep these, do you have a singer in mind?
The bass is really missing some opportunities to shine as a melodic instrument on this song. Until the drums kick in properly, there's no reason for the bass to "hold it down".
Plenty of space and silence in the mix. I can hear the instruments clearly. Nice work.
Rami, are you using room mics at all? I am curious if maybe using a room mic or a pair of them might make the drum image feel a little bigger. For me, the SDCs I use on the overheads sound kind of thin compared to the MDCs I am using for room mics. In my room, the SDCs pick up the stick attack...
