Ears idea is the way that I would think of first...If i didnt want to do a "organic" double...also you could try "reamping"...takeing your first guitar track and sending it out to a different amp and then recording it from that source..I've had it done, but have never done this myself... seems...
I was recenly in the studio with a Flextone amp run direct out of the head phone out and had no prob with switch delay...The thing that you will want to do is set your program volumes for unity, then you will have no volume drops ....Good Luck

Tapehead...for that bass boullion soup recipe do you add a pinch of salt and do you know where I can get a pot large enough to put the bass in ....I'm guessing the flavor and tone would have more body that way...LOL
Could the fact that you can get closer to the diaphram on the 57 be the reason that prox. eff.is more present with this mic than 58?...able to" flatten "the diaphram easier ?
I've been told that you can go as large as 8.4 gig ...quantam 7200 rpm was the one that I was told about

Hi Sport...You are asking a difficult question !I can understand your problem .I've thought about it myself .And you will have to think about that one yourself for awhile! If you are going to record Airplay ready material...then there is no substitute for experianced studio personal...there is...
I've been using the Flextone Plus for over a year now...used it live and in sessions , this is basicly the same as the head model that you asked about...same amp models and effects...They have some really good qualitys
They really shine in the recording enviorment. They are comeing out with the...
If the type of music that you want to record is highly dependent on energy ,attitude and a agressive emotion ...then "live in the studio"...A SSL.G or a Neve would be nice...LOL...is the way to go!Songs like ..Louie Louie from the Kingsmen were done with 1 mic hanging in the center of a garage...

I agree with Buck62 also on the drums they will drive you crazy if you dont gate them or or have some one at the board ...they are terrible with ambiant sound.
The new line6 modeling delay pedal....you get 16 different types of delays...analog, digital,tape,14second sampling...tap tempo, user writeablity.and it sounds good,I beleve the cost is 249.00.I dont own one have tried it in the store with a guitar...would be interesting to use on vocals [crude...
It you get a Mic that is very sensitive...NT1,C3000 and the like and the place that you record is less than ideal as far as background noise you could minimize this with a vocal corner .Get yourself a changing screen..Those things that pepole use to change behind...hang some blankets on it to...
I have allways heard that the 58 ,57 are the same the difference is in the head 58 ball shape is not as tight as the 57 in its pickup pattern and thats how the differences come about..I could be wrong...they are both good mics..I've heard that the 57 is a better choice for a female vocal in live...
Soul Guy...I dont have the problem that you have with your LXP 1 ..It maybe some thing that you could ajust with the MRC conroller In the meantime you could go to a open channel or chanels with it...plug it in to the send AUX and instead of the AUX return plug the outs to 2[left in one right in...
