new one to pick apart or not--lol

I got your link off of your profile. You can't attach a whole song in here (as you can on that other site). I like the premise for the song. Really subtle-LOL. Stabby, stabby, very Adam Sandler ish. I could here him doing a screwed up version of your song. Guitars sounded good and vocals where...

    New tune for Review....

Very good. Not much to critique. I'm sure someone will be able to offer something constructive, I just decided to sit back and enjoy. Everything was pretty much in place to me.

    More Sex Than Me...

Sounds to me like the snare may be a little too hot, and the accoustic guitar could have been hitting a little harder, on the rythmn parts. I agree that the ride cymbal to the right was a little 'on top of the mix' sounding. The song's pretty good though, vocals were good too.

    thepowerless - big out there

Love the song. You can put me down for thinking the bass can come up a hair. I also agree that the snare sounded a little funny. Good vocal performance on the track though, I like the song a lot. Nice work.

    New Tune...Lend Me Your Ears

The song was humorous. THe mix sounded pretty good to me. Not crazy about the vocal style but it was appropriate for this tune.

    Sorry www.soundclick.com/tavaresproject

Hey, the link on this post didn't work for me. I had to go to your original post to get a working link. I'll try posting your link again in this post http://www.soundclick.com/bands/4/tavaresprojectmusic.htm Oh yeah, the music. Both tunes were good. I particularly liked the instrumental. Lotta...

    Ugly Fruit

I like the song. I"m on new speakers so, no comments on the mix because my frame of reference is off. Good heavy stuff. nice voice

New song,..... put your ears on it and let me have it!...Thanks

Firesole - Thnks for listening. I'm sure I did record the guitar on 2 different days. Never noticed the out of tune string with all the fatigue of mixing. Good ear.

    My first try

The song rocked! I'll leave the mixing advise to some of the experts in here. I think there's some harshness on the vocals that can probably be addressed. You have them hot in the mix and probably by design and that in itself sounds good. However, you may want to experiment with the eq on them...

    Slower Rock/Alternative song

I'm checking out Amelia3, Yeah the vox can come up. Sounds like the rythmn guitars are too hot, at least for everything else. The drums sound good

    Listen to my new song.

Someone mentioned the kick. I was ok with the kick actually, there's some artifacts going on in my right speaker coming from the high hat though. Maybe too much ambience. The song itself is really tight. Very nice work

    Ugly Fruit

I tried to stream it. "Waiting to be cleared" that's the message I'm getting. The first time you put something on soundclick there's a waiting period of about 24hrs. After that, everything uploads to your page immediately. I'll check back

Bloodshot Eyes (Does this song title fit?)

I didn't vote in the poll. Don't know about the title. The song's cool though. A little u2 sounding especially on the upper register vocals. I agree that the accoustic guitar is boomy. If it cant be fixed with eq you may want to get the mic away from the hole a little. Nice track though

New song,..... put your ears on it and let me have it!...Thanks

Toki- yeah, a touch more bass is what I'm hearing from a few people who've heard it. Kick/snare? I'm a little paranoid about my drums as are a lot of guitar player turned one man band ers, I have a tendency to downplay them. M Master - Thanks for listening. I have the hardest time choosing...

New song,..... put your ears on it and let me have it!...Thanks

Ghost - thanks for listening, brother, and for the generous praise. The sound you're hearing is the flute voicing on my wonderful "yammy" keyboard. A fine piece of electronics it is!LOL M Havlen- thanks, this song is really in the middle of my comfort zone as far as the kind of stuff I do well...

    thought I would post again

Vocals sounded good. I liked the bridge or whatever near the end of the song. Kept the tune from getting too redundant. Good work

    New Tune

I think the guys covered the mix for you. The snare needs to come up. That's the most glaring thing to me, mixwise. The song is good though. Nice tempo and the vocals were working. Check yourself. Funny thing, the words "lose" and "losing" are the most miiissppelled words that I see on the...

    Billy Furnett & Ghost Collaboration

As stated, there were some Knoefler/Dylan moments on the vocal track. Actually there was some interesting stuff going on with the vocals during the first half of the song. Not exactly octave singing but not conventional harmonies either. Yeah, I'm liking the vocal track. I'm a sucker for that...

    First song without my band

Good vocal. I agree the drums can come up a bit. I'm hearing some David Bowie moments in the vocal, I can't believe no one's mentioned that yet. The song builds up nicely. Nice countermelodies on the guitar during the last half of the track
