Mega HR collab. I present....THE WHOTARDS - WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN

WWWWWWHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!? CAD PRO 7's!?!?!?!?! THE CHEAPOS!?!?!?! I guess it all depends on drum tuning, room, mic placement, and processing. I'm utterly amazed.

Mega HR collab. I present....THE WHOTARDS - WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN

Sounds real good. I think the vocals are a bit loud. The whole thing sounds clear. I don't think I've seen you post what mics you use for the drums. Are you using CAD's??? I think I saw that somewhere, but they sound way to good to be CAD's.

Allow me a moment to pose a question:

Say, isn't this thread in the wrong forum too? Complain somewhere else. It doesn't really matter how the song was processed before hand. You judge whatever the person gives you to judge.

    Acoustic guitar action

Volume knobs could be turned?!?!!?!? xD Anyway, I had a cheapo acoustic that had the same problem. Just do what everyone else said. Sand it down. Make sure you do it on a super flat surface to keep the angle. Messed that up before...

    Considering Moving to Reaper

Sonar to Reaper convert here too. Your Zoom should be compatible. Just listen to everyone else that posted. Best program out of every one I've used. (Cakewalk Home Studio 9, Sonar Home Studio 6, Sonar Home Studio 7XL, Cubase 4 LE, Cubase 5 LE)

    videogame score...part 2

Well this thread has been dead for a while, but I just listened to the new link you posted. I think I would need to see the visuals with the audio. It's kind of there... The theremin sounds are spacey, but the rest just doesn't click with me. But it is futuristic sounding. Hmmm. Do you know...

Where Do I Begin (Original) Acoustic Rock

Hmmmm, I say you open up a collaboration project on this one. You could get a really great product if you do this with electric guitar, drums, bass, and other stuff. What do you think?

Mixing Tips For My Bands Song

Cool sound. At first it kind of sounds like Phish, then it morphs into a 60's Rock Hit. It morphs again into alternative rock. Wow that's quite a sound. Anyway, on the mix. Were the drums tuned? It doesn't sound like it. Drums should always be tuned before recording. Specifically the toms...

Mix - need suggestions before final mix. Rock.

Wow, really good songs. I like the drum sound for the music. Every instrument works well together. In the first mix, I think the lows in the acoustics could be brought up a bit. Good job.

    Tascam US-800 Interface

Yeah, no luck with this interface. Still the clicky audio. I assume once the drivers are updated this will work great. Ehh no one is reading this anyway. If anyone comes across this, hopefully I helped.

New Song - Close to Final Mix - Feedback Requested

Sounds pretty good. I think the mix is really good. I agree with the snare being hit WAY too hard in the chorus. It also seems like he's using too many snare hits for a chorus. Just a bit busy is all. That's about it from me. Good job.

    Mixing Tambourines

Hmmm... I would have to disagree. If you play a decent length and loop it, it's not too noticeable. It works even better if there are different tambourine parts. So I would say it can go unnoticed as long as it's not the same part throughout the whole song.

    deplosive plugins

Haha I think he means "Multi-band compressor" if you didn't catch that. The best thing to do would be to rerecord the vocals with a pop screen. If you don't have one, a sock stretched over a wire coat hanger will work fine.

First Post - Advice / Critique of my track

Haha "unfortunately" Ummm, I think it was more the volume than the sample. You can try changing it. It's pretty much what you want. The bass can be cleaned up a lot if you use cabinet impulses. If you use Reaper, open ReaVerb, and click add. (By the way, it doesn't need to be...

Where Do I Begin (Original) Acoustic Rock

Ahhh this song would be awesome with drums and electric guitars. It sounds great already. Very radio friendly actually. I agree with the room sounds. Break out the thick bed sheet and make a little tent. It reduces the room sound a lot if it's not treated. Good job on this.
