    Leaving mics set up

I find that the biggest dampener on creativity is having to set up to record when the inspiration strikes. For that reason, my system is nearly always 'live', i.e. I have a mike or two set up all the time, all the gear is switched on, all the keyboards connected and so on. This means that if I...

    Leaving mics set up

I find that if I leave my mics set up for my drums I tend to record a lot more. Going and getting them out and plugging them in is just one more little deterrent. I have a pair of mxl604's as o/h an audix d6 on kick and a 57 on snare. I put the foam wind guards on the 604's but leave the others...

If anyone has been to India, you will know that there are people who follow cows around the streets and whenever they shit, these eager folk pick up the turds put them in a tin or a bag and go dry them out and use them for fuel and a whole bunch of other stuff. I feel like one of those people...

Gentlemen (and I use the term loosely), The BIG GIANT HEAD ,who has an impressive command of the art of verbal abuse, has ever so colourfully presented the phrase 'cumcovered fuckmonkey' while referring to a fellow poster over in the drum section under the thread 'tama'. Being a somewhat...

Thanks, I shall try and pick it up. Can I use your term cumstained fuckmonkey in one of my songs? Do you have anything as equally colorful to rhyme with it for the 2nd line?

Pert 1. Bold or imprudent in behaviour speech or behaviour; SAUCY, forward. No wonder he changed the pron of his name, who would want to be regarded as saucy for god's sake. Probably like all the Muellers changing their name to Miller after WW2 when they emigrated to the states.

That will be good arsenal in my Rush conversations, I will know nothing about Rush but I will continually correct people as to the proper pronunciation of the drummers name. As a Rush fan maybe you can help me, I have heard this song a few times and I dont know what it is called. I heard it...
