I would go Pc over the Mac.
Sonar is my choice for recording software. I use it all the time and it is great.
Cubase is not very user friendly. A friend of mine has it and it is a pain in the ass to use.
As Stealthtech said "proFools" is definitely overated.
My 2 cents
jake-owa is right. You need to understand the difference between midi and audio. The only way to use your casio to do what you are asking is to use your line outs from your keyboard into your tape machine.
mmmm.... strange. I use the onboard sequencer in my Trinity live and can set each track for internal, external or both and it works. I have an older ensoniq keyboard with onboard sequencer with the same options available. I would have thought you could send the sequence midi out with your...
Wow... An amazing developement for sure. Who needs a weighted action midi controller when you can use your old piano instead. Looks like a great idea. What will they think of next?
If you have your midi project loaded it should just be a matter of selecting the track you wish to automate, Hit the automation button and your off.
If the project is blank then the automation recording will not work.
In the track view pane just move your cursor to the track you want to automate and right click. There you will see various options one of which is arm track for automation. Just go down and click on that option and your automation button should now be enabled.
Can't give an opinion on the AX-7 but as a long time user of the AX-1, I can highly recommend it if you like the idea of getting out from behind your keys and interacting with other band members and the crowd. It's a good fun piece of equipment and has been very reliable. Great for those...
Hey Porter,
Just checked out your song. It's kinda country I guess. I would get to work on some nice harmonies to really give it a lift in the chorus's. Overall mix sounded ok although only listening on LO Fi stream. I quite liked it anyway. Good effort.

I've also had this error from time to time but as dachay said a reboot seems to fix it and I also can't find any reason why it sometimes does this. It happens very rarely so I don't stress about it.
It's sad that a lot of major touring acts give Adelaide a big miss these days but thats life i guess and $125.00 for second rate seats seems over the top.
