    Decent sounding guitar for recording

Go to Ebay and find a decent Ibanez like a RG 320 or even an older S470... check em out. Their pickups are fairly good stock. Thats what I use to record...my S-470. All depends on weather you like fixed bridge guitars or ones with Trems. Fixed bridge will give you more sustain. They are all...

PC recording, not for the fence-sitters

It's nice to read this stuff, and I would like to talk more with PC based people so I know when I may be doing something stupid. I have just made the switch over to PC recording. For two years I have recorded on a stand alone BR1180. It's not high end, but I'm not looking for that, it's a...

whats the coolest guitar you ACTUALLY own(ed) ????

Kinda cheesy but,....I traded my drum machine for a Kramer KnightSwan back in the early 90's with a buddy of mine. I'm telling you that guitar had a low end from under Satans right foot or something!!! That was such a fun guitar to play. Sold it though for not near enough (accoring to the ones...

How Many Guitars do you own

Hmmm If you get married and have kids....Maybe it should be "had" I"m down to one now, although really its the one I love to play constantly. Lost a HM Strat, Guild S-250, KnightSwan, RG320. Down to just a Ibanez S-470. Can only play one at a time, a 7-string would be nice though.

    Best Lead Intructional Video?

George Lynch instructional videos...1. He's a great player. 2. They are funny as hell, because in the ones I have...seems as though he's taken one to many hits off the bong before recording for the camera!!

    Best looking Headstock?

C'mon you gotta give props to the reverse banana headstocks G. Lynch had on his Kamakazi line (ESP). Or a Kramer KnightSwan headstock. I personally grew up wanting badly a Gibson Les Paul, partly because of that beautiful headstock. Of course as fate would have it, never got one.

    Biggest Most Dangerous Guitar Sound

All great ones in their own way. Love the Deftones but yes...very simple stuff. AC/DC, you have to include Angus, EVH, duh! Haven't heard anyone mention Nuno Bettencourt. "Pornograffitti" is such a massive raw sound on that album. So many more. John Petrucci's solo stuff, But......Fact is...

BR1600 drum machine v external drum machine

not sure but I'm guessing that the BR1600 is similar to the bR1180's drum kit. I find it VERY limiting although I would say that I definitely haven't mastered it. It's frustrating having to fiddle around so much just to figure stuff out cause the manual doesn't help. Maybe one of you guys can...

    Switching to PC recording???

Yeah, the BR1180 that I have isn't a "tape" 10-track, its all digital So really assuming I sell my BR-1180 and all the stuff with it, That would pretty much be my budget, which is why I'm debating this route so much. It seems to me that I can have so much more flexibility and more time to...

    Switching to PC recording???

I've been recording now for a little over 2 years with a BR1180-CD (Boss). A close friend of mine has a version (older I'm sure) of Cakewalk, I think its "Guitar Tracks 1 or 2". I believe he has the better system, but my reservation is in his sound quality. The CD's I've recorded have...
