Having a good aftermarket pickup would definitely help in getting you towards that type of sound. It sounds to me like a really tight low end that's downtuned.

Since I mainly play 7-strings, I mainly go to sevenstring.org or Jemsite.com. Both cater to all things guitar though. Jemsite is mainly an all things Ibanez site while SS.org is a lot of ERG stuff and quite a bit of the "6er" thing. Also a lot of custom guitar stuff on SS.org

Brand wise...Dimarzio humbucker, the type is either an Evo or D-Sonic in the bridge position and an Air Norton in the neck FTW. I have played a guitar with "Bare Knuckle" pickups and I'd have to say, if I had the money for them, I'd buy em in a second.

just record some tunes...Nothing big. It's only me, I won't be recording more than two things at once. I just figured it has a drum kit in with it. Saves some time trying to test out drum programs and stuff. Is it fairly simple to use?

Just tried my first set of EB's on my 7. They're not bad but I sure miss the different colored ball ends on my tuning pegs!!!

Like what has been said.....excellent rendition of an obscure (but great) Kiss tune. Unmasked has always been a very underrated album of theirs. Can't wait to hear your version of T-Girl. Keep up the good work!

Hmmm I think my rhythm playing has been mainly influenced by George Lynch (Dokken) and Ronnie Le Tekro (TNT). Man those guys are very underated rhythm players...especially Ronnie. Petrucci is another huge influence, along with Satriani, Vai, Howe, MacAlpine, Devin Townsend, ...But heck...Ace...
