    hey claude..the best way to record a electric guitar is micing the speaker with a sm-57....or get a line 6 POD...those are pretty cool...as for accoustic guitars...condensers are the best...look around this site..theres a ton of great info ...and dragon has a whole page dedicated to tascam...

    hi JP...im a newbie too...but from what i understand the minidisk format is fairly compressed which means you lose fidelity along the way....but i could be wrong...i have a fostex FD-8 with a 250 zip drive and so far i love it...they also make a four track version...try looking around...

    hey...this is probably a dumb question..but i have a fostex FD-8...and when im just recording my own rehersals..i put the guitars on track one..and pan the stereo bus to the left...the drum machine on track two and pan to the right...and vocals on track three and pan to the left..when i listen...
