ok whisky...before i buy a phillips recorder...is there a way i can go from my fd-8..into my puter...than burn a cd?..at the moment i have no music software on my puter...i dont even have a burner but i can get one alot cheaper than the philips machine

hey..i have the fd-8 and ill try to help ya..but if im wrong someone please correct me...you cant burn a cd to one of those burners directly from the fd-8..you have to use one of those stand alone cd recorders..and as for the windows thing..um...sorry...dont know....hope i helped a little

hi jared..i dont know what the rest of the guys think...but i use the alesis dr-16 i think its called...and its pretty straight forward...you can for sure have a different beat for every other measure..NO PROBLEM...plus its on sale for like $200..so ya may want to consider that

ok..if i were you....the fd-4 sounds like a great price but you are REALLY gonna miss the extra 4 tracks of the fd-8...if your anything like me....you dont want to have to buy something...then trade up and loose money...save up and buy the best ya can afford..as for the hard drive..i havent...
oh wait..sorry i read that wrong....i thought ya bought it already..if ya havent...id go for the fd-8....youll love the extra four tracks believe me....i dont know the exchange rate off hand...but you should be able to get the fd-8...and the 250 zip for right around $900 american...let me know...

hi angelo..i have a fostex fd-8..and so far i really enjoyit....its digital of course...the the recording sounds great...and it has a very user friendly and familiar anaolog mixer..i would recomend going with the 250mb zip disk set up also...the whole package is just under a grand..so it sounds...

thanks guys...i have the POD...and its prety cool for guitar but i havent played with it enough to geta good bass tone (if its even posible)...im gonna end up micing the cabinet i think...it has such a great sound...but that means a new mic...oh well....i love getting new stuff....thanks again

i use a SR-16 and im pretty happy with it....but the preset drum sets suck...you have to make your own...(get rid of their cheesy reverb....and set the panning controls to get a cool stereo sound)...but other than that its pretty easy
