via chipset + amd cpu + and delta soundcard = loud crackling. Just to share my experience with others who have a similar amd athlon (1800+)setup and are considering purchasing a delta 66 soundcard. They say it's compatible but really it's not. You'll get crackling on about 8 out of 10...

yeah but can you even hear 10hz-20hz or 20khz-46khz?? i thought that was pretty much inaudible...so wouldn't a 22hz-22khz frequency response actually be a little more desirable?

see, I don't understand the differences in soundcards by the benchmarks really...how does the phase 22 compare with say...the echo mia or audiophile 24/96. people say it's identical to the audiophile cause it has the same convertors. but the audio rightmark tests(RMAA) show it was tested in 32...

i think theyre great for the money. they sound nice and quiet to me...i've been able to get some nice fat sounding recordings-i've got no complaints. i liked the 24/96 so much i just placed an order for the q10...theres really no other product on the market quite like it. cant wait to get it!

last month i was with my friend when he bought an m-177 and he couldnt get it to work for like 3 weeks...he kept thinking it was his settings in the software he was using. so we went to try and return it but they had a no return policy on microphones...so he got screwed. kind of sucks for him.

i had that problem once and it turned out one of my xlr cables was causing a lot of static when the phantom power was turned on. even though it wasnt on the mic with the phantom power it's still applied to every input...so it actually recorded all the nasty static. i threw it out and bought a...
