    Compression/Expansion with Cakewalk

    Im new to the whole DAW world and I have a question. How would I go about compressing and expanding vocals? Is it done through software or hardware? I will be recording vocals from 18 mics. Input hardware has not been chosen yet. Still deciding between 3 Aardvark Q10's or 2 Motu 1296's.
