It was 23.00, i was in front of the TV and there was nothing particularly interesting so I took my laptop and my little 25 keys on my knees so i put up Discovery Channel and recorded this piece... Used 2 free soft synths and a heavily modified drum sequence i had on my laptop for pure...

The playing and the arrangement is fine, I just don't really like the voice, how it sits in the mix and the lack of confidence : some notes are not well held and that ruins a fine song... I would re-record the vocals maybe in another time of the day when your voice is a bit warmer and after...

Hi all ! I am just hooking up all my studio again and unluckily the cable for the MIDI Express is just a tad short to get to the pc... Can i use a normal parallel cable to lengthen it ? Hope someone knows this one as i would really like to know before buying cables ... Thanx a lot !

Thanx a lot for your advice and time :D In fact my mixer AND soundcard back then where not exaclty high quality ( not to mention my recording skills :D), and it's a long hiss from start to finish... But i am happy that you like the composition and that maybe i gave you some emotins with that...

To me it sounds better, but tweaking the velocity and refining the style can get you better and better...

I guess it's not a matter of what style to use ( maybe 20%) but rather the sound/samples need a bit of twaking, maybe play with the velocity curve of your keyboard or of the sampler and suit that to your playing style...

I liked the song very much, just the voice is going off key sometimes ( often) and while the song is going one direction the voice is not always getting there, if that makes sense... It seems sometimes you were not sure what note to sing and tried to find it WHILE singing... Apart from that...

Maybe as a background guitar in a mix but like that it lacks expressiveness and dynamics ( most of all)...
