Carvin Pro Audio gear is very reasonably priced and good stuff. The amps are priced good also Their guitars are a bit on the pricey side but you do get what you pay for IMO YMMV

besides the nut files alone will cost in the neighborhood of $125.00 and you cannot make a nut without them so you are better off taking the guitar to an experienced tech who has the tools to do the job right.

seems to me if they are complaining about the music they are going to church for all the wrong reasons to begin with.

another vote for bone, deer antler is also good for making nuts. I charge $65.00 flat rate for installing a bone nut.

Hey OP... Use the same type of replacement tubes for the VK I have the 50 watt combo version and the stock tubes are the best choice for the amp otherwise Peavey would have equipped the amp with different tubes to begin with. just because it is an inexpensive amp does not mean it is an inferior...

Buyer Beware with SX and Douglas guitars, it is hit or miss on build quality on these guitars. and In all honesty they are probably going to sound about the same. you may want to check out the Xavier Tele clones from www.guitarfetish.com they have better electronics and better build quality...

Congrats on your purchase You are not going to find a beter Mixer than what A&H offers except possibly Sound Craft or Toft. Now Go play with your new gear :D

This Nothing more needed to be said. I used to be in a Rush Cover band but there were 4 of us. we needed a singer who also played the synth/keys for us but the guitarist used a Boss looper. I guess we were a power trio plus one:D

Dang! I am in the wrong business! I went to MF website just to look at guitar straps that are similar to what I build and they range from 100 to 150 bucks... that's just fricken INSANE!:eek: Hell will freeze over B4 I pay that kind of money for a leather strap

the new Cool Cat series pedals are super solid and built to stomp however I see no need to stomp them hard because the bypass switch is precision, they are metal housed unlike the FAB pedals however the FAB pedals are pretty solid also to be plastic housed pedals and sound good too considering...
