    Are there any kind of MIDI settings in your interface? Is it possible the problem is the middle man?

    Yeah, it's more like radio, you broadcast your MIDI signal from the DAW and you tune in the SR16 to receive it. The "Radio station" doesn't know what devices are listening.

    So you want MIDI from the DAW to trigger the sounds in the module and then record the audio outs? Or are you trying to use the module pads as triggers to record midi sequences into the DAW?

    Get a 70 Hz tone or a keyboard note and play it on a loop, move around the room and see if the volume changes. Can you hear it outside the room but not in the room, does it vary in volume throughout the room? It might be cancellation or comb filtering, or maybe a reverse polarity cable?

    That means that you will get better performance using 2 smaller sticks of ram running dual, rather than 1 big stick using only one channel. So if you want a Gig of ram it's better to get 2 - 512m sticks rather than a single Gig stick.
