    Who's cheap gear do you trust the most?

    ART and Studio Projects. Totally useable stuff. I use Alesis M1 Mk2 monitors as a second reference to Genelec 8030's..it's my lazy version of going out to the car...I just realized that my mixes will be played as mp3's through either crappy computer speakers or iPod earbuds 99% of the time...

    Electric Guitar Strings that don't lose their bang (for awhile at least)?

    I hate dem slinkys.... I recently discovered RotoRed strings by RotoSound. I use .11's, and they are bright yet round sounding, and they last well. Roto is mostly known for bass strings, but I'm a convert after years of Dean Markley's.

    FW-1884 problems in Logic.

    I fixed it...even after re-installing and updating everything it was still doing it. Turns out in the set-up window in Logic, for some reason the fader view offset was set at 26. I don't know why. Once I set it to 8, it banks fine. Must be a bug. I hope this helps someone else.

    Thebank switching buttons don't seem to be doing anything. I'm stuck up in the output channels. Anybody got a clue? I sure don't. I got a headache, is what I got.
