You don't necessarily have to use a compressor when you mic a cabinet. It may actually make the background hiss from the amp worse. Try it out without and check out the results. I rarely use a compressor for guitar cabs.

I upgraded to a multiface from a delta omni studio. I think that's the best thing i've ever done. I was skeptical about the obvious difference in converter quality at first, that is until i recorded with it. It sounds great. Much better than the m-audio. Everything works the way it should...
I just went with slack's advice and formatted with ntfs. Havne't looked back yet. I recorded all day and played files from my old fat system with great success. thanks for the help.

I just put together my new computer. Everything is cool
My hard drives are:
Maxtor 30 gig in to 2 partitions. The OS was formatted with fat 32 and once i loaded the operating system i was able to format the other half of it into fat.
I also have a WD 80 gig that i want to format with fat...

IS the RNP as clean as the sytek? I'm looking to buy either the sytek or the RNP. The fact that the sytek has 4 channels doesn't really matter. Is there instruments that one would be better at and vice versa and what would those instruments be.
