The 2035 is a very good bang for the buck mic.... fairly smooth and quite neutral with a characteristic AT sound. It all depends what you're using it for...... but all round it is a better mic than the 3035 and the 2020 IMO.

Hi Larry Thanks for your positive feedback on the song. I saw an MB3000L for about $60 new on ebay a while back so I guess there's some NOS out there still. Did you ever get round to getting an ATR30 for $18 yet???

At the moment I'm assuming the MB3000L was a bit of a One-Off event.... but it's hard to imagine such a tasty mic as this not existing with another model number, somewhere else in the vast array of the AT line up.

The MB300L has very different specs to the 1kc and cost a fair bit more when new. It was the top of the line dynamic in that earlier series and none of the newer K series seem to refer to the specs of the earlier MB line. If there's anyone out there from AT that knows which current AT dynamic...
